7 Important Plugin for WordPress Optimization

7 Important Plugin for WordPress Optimization

With so many people out there looking to build a more functional sustainable site with WordPress, more and more folks are looking for easier ways to handle the essentials.

That’s where WordPress Plugins come in handy.

I’ve put together a list of 7 important plugins to shine some much deserved light on plugins that are reaching for the top.

We need to download some plugins. The first one we are going to download is:

You can download it from within your blog by going to Plugins and do a search for the name and then select install.

This little plugin is going to take care of several problems for us. WordPress normally uses a default setting which creates page titles like this;

“Blog Tilte—Blog Archive—Past Name”

Which as you can see is hardly optimized for what we need. We need keywords in that title and this Plugin does that for us.

Once the plugin is installed it will automatically set your posts and page Titles and Meta tags to the correct way.

“Post Title/Blog Tile”

You have an option to disable this feature for any page you may want to. I personally would not disable any page as it gives you the best title you could possibly have. When you are creating your pages or posts using this feature make sure that you enter a unique description in the Description Box.

Then add your keywords, which is another important feature with this little plugin.

Now I know how hard it is to decide which files you should allow and disallow in your Robots.txt. simple solution.

Again you can download this inside your blog from the plugins panel.

This plugin automatically generates a disallow file in your Robots.txt file. Now you do not have to worry any more as it is all under control.

This will make your sitemap for you and post it to the major search engine to make sure they are aware of your newest posts.

While we are with Google…..

This plugin will add your Google tracking to every page of your blog. Which is very neat and give you some very interesting reading before bed?

The plugin has more specific option which you can use. Which you decide to use or not use is totally personal. To get to the setting go to settings—Google Analyticator and you will be shown the options once you click on it.

It seem now that everyone is in rush, they want instant and that philosophy has spread to the search engines too. They now use calculation in their system that adds a few points to sites that load faster. Well we want all the points we can get, because what do points make?

Well that depends on your end result that you wish to achieve!

Is the plugin we need to make our blog move faster than light, well almost. Here is a question for you,

What’s the speed of the dark?

This plugin will speed up loading of your pages, images and everything in between. Once you have downloaded it an have it installed on your blog, go to its setting and make sure you have the following selected;

  • Page Cache
  • Minify
  • Database Cacheing

That’s about it for that plugin.

The plugin adds alt tags and title attributes to all your images. It even adds them to images that haven’t got one. Pretty neat, Hey?

A better linking system will help not only search engine but web surfers too. You need to include anchor text in your posts and pages that are keyword relevant. This can take hours. So to automate it we are going to use; SEO Smart Links.

This plugin does it all for you. So now you can set up your keyword rich anchor text within your blog and know they are right for helping you drive traffic where it needs to be and to also help you rank higher in the search engines. It even adds text links that are keyword rich to your comments on your blog! How cool is that?
